Semester Service Jobs, Spring 2023
Forest Foundation is funding ten-week, semester-based service jobs for undergraduates at Greater Boston nonprofits. Students who need employment and are passionate about mission driven nonprofit work can apply for funding and assistance in job placement at a local agency. Job placements can be with one of Forest Foundation’s established partner organizations or at a student researched agency. The compensation is $1,700 based on 10 weeks of work at 10 hours a week. Noting that some students’ schedules may not allow for 10 hours a week, every week, the position can be viewed as 100 hours of work over the whole semester.
The Semester Service position is open to current Boston area undergraduate college students who are passionate about community service and the non-profit world and seek further engagement and meaningful service work.
Significant current community service experience on your college campus or in your community is required.
Application Process:
Application for the service job is open on November 15, 2022. Deadline for submissions is December 31, 2022. Notification of acceptances will be sent the first week of January.
Placements with agencies will occur the rest of January with work start dates beginning in February.
