Thanks for attending the first two development days!
Sam sent out a a quick survey monkey about the two days. Please take a few minutes and respond if you can. I know there are some social events coming up for the group. They will be posted on the calendar by week’s end. Also, if you know of some events, free and/or interesting, in and around Boston, let us know and we will post them as well.
As I mentioned at the last meeting, if there any issues with your placement let us know sooner than later so we can remediate the situation! Thanks. Dave.
Intern teams meet today to fine tune and polish their grant proposals and presentations. You are not working at your agencies today and do not have to make up the time. Take this day to really finalize and practice your team work in support of your non profit agency. Your presentations will be reviewed by our board of trustees and content, along with your public speaking and group effort, will be reviewed in a competitive process as we allocate funds to your non profit agencies. Have fun but be professional!

“Foundations and Board Membership”
Forest Foundation is a non-profit focused on leadership development and also a grant making foundation. Its board members determine allocation of the foundation’s resources through grant proposals. Interns are divided into groups early in the summer and work to write a grant for a small, innovative non-profit whose needs match the foundation’s giving guidelines. This day includes the intern group presentations to the board as a culmination of the grant-writing project. Board members decide the amount that each non-profit will receive.
